Douglas Smith born in 1924, on Portland, and Audrey Iris Smith (Hawker) born 1926 married 1946,

Douglas was the son of;

Richard John Smith (R.J.Smith 3rd) born 1885, on Portland  and Mary Allen Smith (Pearce) born 1887, on Portland, Married 1909,

Richard was the son of;

Richard John Smith (R.J.Smith 2nd) born 1860 on Portland, and Elizabeth (Eliza) Smith (Stone) born 1862 on Portland, Married 1882, his first wife

Richard was the son of;

Richard Smith (R.J.Smith 1st) born 1836 (birth place unknown), and Susanna Smith (Pearce) born 1837, on Portland, Married 1855,

Now we know Richard came from Plymouth to work in the stone industry on Portland, but do not know if he was born there or in Portland, and I am yet to find out if it was a quarry man, or stone mason, we only know it has Stone Worker as described on his marriage certificate, and that his farther was John Smith a Stone Mason again I don't know  where he was born, so to continue the blood line, but stay on Portland, I need to look at the wife Susanna Pearce, as I can find no records for John Smith's father apart from his name John Smith

Susanna Pearce was the daughter of;

Abel Comben Pearce born 1802, on Portland, and Susanna Scriven Flew born 1808, on Portland, married 1826,

Able Comben Pearce was the son of;

William Pearce born on Portland, and Elizabeth Comben born on Portland (we don't yet have their birth dates) married 1777,

Susanna Scriven Flew was the daughter of;

Robert Flew born 1780 on Portland, and Susanna flew born 1775, on Portland, married 1803,

Robert Flew was the son of;

Thomas Flew born 1749, on Portland, and Rebecca Flew ( Pearce) born 1748, on Portland, married 1770,

Rebecca Flew was the daughter of;

William Pearce born 1715, on Portland, and Rebecca Pearce (Samways') born 1737, on Portland,

William Pearce was the son of;

Edward Pearce born on Portland, and Mary Pearce (Gilbert) born on Portland, married 1711 (I don't have their birth dates), 

(I will upload the tree asap, and then we can start to fill in all the gaps regarding the children, and believe me there are loads, also I will endeavour to point out all the anomalies, such as why Thomas Flew and Rebecca Flew both died on the same day? and will post copies of the birth and wedding certificates which I have obtained for the three Richard Smiths).
